Travel 2020 Update
May 11th 2020
Dear Holland Soccer Families,
After much consideration, the Holland Soccer Club Board has decided to withdraw our teams from the BWNYJSL travel program this summer.
We have been keeping an eye on the league’s updates, limiting the season down to a minimum of 5 games if any at all. This uncertainty had us questioning if it was worth the health risk of our players and families. On Monday May 4th, after New York State canceled the remainder of the school year, Holland Central School notified our club, that the grounds are also closed until further notice. This notification cemented the decision we were leaning towards to pull out of the league. Without grounds to practice and host games, we are unable to field teams this summer.
If the grounds open up later this summer, and we are allowed to use the middle school facilities, we will work together as a unified club to hold open practices for our players. Coaches will contact families to let them know our plans.
What about your registration fee? All registration fees and jersey money (if already received) will be rolled over to next season. No jerseys were ordered. If you would like a refund now, please notify us. If at some point before December 31st 2020 you have decided your child will not be playing next year, contact us and we will issue you a refund. If this was the last year your child would have been eligible to play, you will receive a refund in the mail shortly.
We hope your families are staying healthy and doing well in this difficult time!
